    • Shinhyeongdang, which is operated as an Art Space and cafe, is a special place that shows that thee Kkumkkuneun Bada KKolmog Village Hotel is different from other hotel resorts.

      It is a 100-year-old Japanese building that has been remodeled, and the first floor (Cafe Space) is used as a cafe, wine bar, and video performance space, and the second floor is a Contemporary Art Space that can be used for multiple purposes, such as exhibitions, performances, and conferences.

      Art, music, and performance services are provided that combine the traditional and modern arts of the southern region of South Korea, and it also serves as a welcome center for the village hotel.
    • Mokpo Marine Cable Car
    • Departing from Mokpo's North Port Station, passing Yudalsan Mountain and the beautiful Mokpo Sea, reaching Gohado Island, an island shaped like a half moon, it is the longest cable car in Korea (3.23km).

      If you time it right, you can see the golden sunset and a night view of Dadohae while on board.
      This sight will become the most memorable which will let you remember Mokpo fondly for a long time.

      It is rated as the best cable car route in Asia, surpassing Vietnam's Vinpearl Cable Car.
    • Yudalsan Mountain
    • Another name for Mt. Yudalsan is Mt. Yeongdalsan, as it was previously believed to be a place where souls pass by.
      Although it is not very high at 228.3m, it has many pavilions, such as Daehak-ru, Dalseong-gak, Yuseon-gak, and Soyo-jeong, which all provide beautiful scenery. There are many things to see, such as the monument to singer Lee Nan-young's 'Tears of Mokpo' and Korea's first outdoor sculpture park.

      On the 2.7 km round road, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mokpo city and Dadohae.
    • Mokpo Bridge
    • Mokpo Bridge, completed in 2012, is a four-lane road with whose total road length stretches to 4,129 km and has a width of 35-40m.
      It is the maritime bridge that connects Mokpo North Port and Gohado Island, and its beautiful shape mimics the wings of a flying crane together, and together with the sunset it creates quite a spectacle.

      It is the gateway to Mokpo that connects Goha-do in Jukgyo-dong and Heosa-do in Yudal-dong, and connects Mokpo New Outport and the Seohaean Expressway.
      The shape of the cable represents the appearance of two cranes, the municipal bird of Mokpo, soaring off the coast of Mokpo.
    • Mokpo Modern History Hall 1 (former Japanese Consulate)
    • Known for being a filming site for the popular drama "Hotel Del Luna," this used to be the Japanese consulate that managed and supervised Koreans during the Japanese colonial period, functioning as an institution to plunder Joseon peasants and a forerunner of imperial colonial policy.
      Contrary to the beautiful exterior of the building, it is a place that contains a sense of national sorrow and many historic memories.

      After liberation, it was changed to Mokpo City Hall and the Mokpo Cultural Center, but now it is used as a modern history exhibition hall where modern history artifacts from Mokpo are displayed.
    • Mokpo Modern History Hall 2
    • The Mokpo Modern History Museum was a state-run company established in 1908 for the purpose of plundering the Joseon economy.
      It was established under the name of Oriental Development Company as a way to rescue the financially ruined Japanese through the rice stolen from Joseon.
      It is said that the Koreans, who were deprived of even the tenant farmers' fees, fought against their tyranny.
      It is now being used as an exhibition hall that displays various materials pertaining to Mokpo during the Japanese colonial period.
    • Dongbonwonsa Temple
    • Dongbonwonsa Temple is a 10 min walk from Mokpo Station.
      It is the first Japanese-style Buddhist temple in Mokpo, and its official name is Jinjong Daegokpa Dongbonwon Temple.

      Established in April 1898 and operated also as the first Japanese elementary school, it was turned into the Mokpo Central Church in 1957 after liberation.
      It also has the unusual history that it was a temple that turned into a church.

      From 2010 to the present, it has been serving as a cultural center for various performances and exhibitions.
    • Gyeongdong Cathedral
    • For missionary work within Sinan-gun, Mokpo Gyeongdong Cathedral was supported by the Missionary Society of St. Columban in Ireland.
      Built in 1954, it is the oldest church building in Mokpo.

      It is a stone building with a majestic exterior and one of the representative buildings of the original city center, and it is also a place of high religious and regional historical value.
      In fact, It is a beautiful piece of architecture in which you can feel the history of the building itself.
    • Dong-a Pharmacy
    • This was the site where a pharmacy run by Ahn Cheol and his house were, a symbolic figure of the Mokpo pro-democracy movement.

      It was a gathering place for the independant political figures in the Mokpo area and the birthplace of the fight for democracy.
      During the May 18 Democratic Movement in 1980, the heads of local organizations demanding the restoration of order in the jurisdiction and key figures who campaigned for democratization against Chun Doo-hwan's new military forces gathered to discuss countermeasures.

      Currently, this building is being used as a commercial building, hostings companies such as the Dong-A Pharmacy and a Supermarket while maintaining its external appearance.
    • Saseum Supermarket
    • In the original city center of Mokpo, there are many Japanese houses that have been maintained since the Japanese colonial period.
      Among these, the Saseum Supermarket is a building that retains the structure of an old tobacco shop where a small hole was drilled that was large enough to fit a hand through the glass, and people paid money and received cigarettes through it.

      Tobacco shops, which have have now disappeared, can be seen in the original city center of Mokpo.
      What's more interesting is that the sign still says that it's the Saseum supermarket, but now it's a cultural space operated by a cooperative in the original city center.
    • Yeonhui's Supermarket
    • Yeonhui's Supermarket, located in a retro alley in Mokpo's original downtown, is still steeped in the atmosphere of neighborhood shops of the 1970s and 1980s.
      As a filming site for the movie 1987, it is also the background of a place where the main characters come and go and forge important stories.

      As if time has stopped, Yeonhui's Super has retained its appearance as it was then.
    • Jeonggwangjeonghyewon
    • Jeonggwangjeonghyewon is a Japanese-style temple located in the original city center of Mokpo.
      In 1911, a Japanese monk named Dohyeonhwasang opened the Mokpo mission center, and after liberation, a monk named Manam changed the name to Jeonggwangjeonghyewon.

      It is also known as the place where the monk Beopjeong was a college student before becoming a monk, and while helping in the practice of the Buddhist purification movement at Jeonggwangjeonghyewon, the writer Goeun visited there and the two met for the first time.
      As the first Japanese-style temple in Korea, it is one of the important cultural assets in Mokpo that has been well preserved.
