Shinhyeongdang, which is operated as an art space and cafe, is a special place that shows how Kkumkkuneun Bada KKolmog Village Hotel is different from other accommodation resorts.
Unlike a typical hotel that is operated in a high, vertical building with only guest rooms and a restaurant, Mokpo's horizontal hotel, Kkumkkuneun Bada KKolmog, encompasses the wide area of the original city center, nature, cultural assets, and heartfelt stories.
Shinhyeongdang is a space that not only provides artistic inspiration to travelers who visit Mokpo and the village hotel, but also infuses positive energy into the city by contributing to the inheritance and development of the identity of the vanishing original downtown.
It is built in a 100-year-old Japanese building that was remodeled, and the first floor (Cafe Space) is used as a cafe, wine bar, and video performance space, while the second floor is a Contemporary Art Space that can be used for multiple purposes, such as exhibitions, performances, and various conference venues.
It provides art, music, and performance services that combine the traditional and modern arts of the southern region of South Korea, and also serves as a welcome center for the village hotel.
The humanity lectures held regularly and the Urban Sketch Program where people draw based on theme of travel and cities, are also must-try experiences.
